Troy passionately pursued his career and education in construction and construction management. Through the Carpenter's Union four year training program and as a third generation carpenter, he was almost immediately placed in mentoring internships beside senior and assistant project managers at the age of nineteen. Employment and mentoring with Lusk Construction and Peck/Jones Construction lead to a faster than average progression through the training advancing him into supervisory positions. With that knowledge gained he moved into the custom residential sector of the industry for two years before leaving California.
Settling in Durango, Colorado he pulled his father from retirement in order to assist him in the formation of Dyerbilt Construction. Focused primarily on the upper end luxury home market, they grew the company to just under $20 million annually in fourteen years. One notable project included 70% of the vertical building of single family homes and multi family town homes in The Glacier Club. As Vice President of Dyerbilt Construction, in charge of business development, Troy sat on boards with the Big Brothers/ Big Sisters organization and The Home Builders Association of Southwest Colorado. The team earned several awards in design, business management and environmental crusades through various organizations and publications both locally and nationally.
Troy and his team cultivated a reputation of integrity, quality and performance in the Southwest region of Colorado in both light commercial and residential construction. In 2009 Dyerbilt and Classique Custom Homes combined their knowledge and efforts in order to prosper in a new market environment. Today Troy holds a position as President of ClassiqueBilt Development and Construction, LLC. He is responsible for managing corporate daily operations and establishing the operational vision for ClassiqueBilt Development and Construction LLC.
