Green Cabin
As part of a hands on design build project, we were able to certify this cabin as the first registered green home with the NAHB in the Four Corners. It incorporates a complete Structural Insulated Panel shell with energy saving systems through out this small but extremely efficient passive solar design. It achieved a stellar HERS rating putting it 35% more efficient than a standard code built home. After the required blower door test it was determined to be the tightest home tested to date in the region. With a automated air exchange system it provides the best possible air quality available while boasting an estimated annual operating cost of just $1,169.
